The Global Powder Centre will together with the account teams be driving advanced detergent optimization projects and will be the Centre of Excellence driven by Thought Leaders within the Powder, Bar and other innovative futuristic format based detergent formulation.

In Consumer BioSolutions, we develop and serve all industries which deliver new innovation to consumers, including developing the newest technologies for detergent for household care. You will work in close collaboration with a diverse and agile team having with various in-house competencies. Hence you will have a unique opportunity to create, build and expand inhouse detergent formulation knowledge. The area we are working in is specifically to assist our customers in making tomorrows detergents more biological by optimizing them for Enzyme inclusion. Thereby you will be part of a team that will be spearheading the acceleration of the path to greener and sustainable detergents where we continue to push the boundaries for our area through close collaboration, optimization and concept implementation with our customers, digitalization of the washing process and parameters.
In this role you’ll make an impact by:
The Formulation Scientist will be responsible for global pre-formulations, prototyping and product development with existing and newer Bio-ingredients along with Enzymes with key focus on future formats. The formulation development will involve end to end development via interfaces from academia to industry, pilot to plant scale activities, formulation to product analytics vs competition functional and stable performance to Consumer relevant sensorial attributes. You will work in close collaboration with a diverse and agile team having various in-house competencies. You will be specifically working to assist our customers in making tomorrows detergents more biological by optimizing them for bio-ingredient and Enzyme inclusion.
To succeed you must hold:
M.Sc or Ph.D in any branch of Chemical Sciences with experience in Household care related FMCG company.
You must have relevant experience in formulation and process development of detergents across various formats from lab to pilot scale.
Develop and apply ingredient, formulation and process understanding governing detergent systems.
Curious, self-driven and a strong team player and if you are confident working independently, networking both within and outside the department.
Be inspired by developments both internally and externally and create strong opportunity pipeline and IP for Novozymes.
Strong experimental skills, with a talent to apply scientific findings to solve practical problems.
Ability to independently lead technical projects and inspire and train junior colleagues in the team.
Excellent interpersonal, project management, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
It is an added advantage if you have experience with data tools related to planning, analysis and visualization.
