Job Description : Job Title: General Manager (GM)Division/Department: Entertainment Theme Park ManagementReports To: Parent Company Vice PresidentType of position: Exempt/SalaryEmployee Classification: RegularCompensation: $85,000 – $105,000Regular classified employees are eligible for company sponsored benefits and retirement account options.Company Information: Seeking a General Manager for a newly acquired company located in Tucson, AZ. The name of the company shall remain confidential at this time.Job Summary: The General Manager (GM) will play a significant leadership role in setting the vision and strategy for the newly acquired subsidiary of the parent company. The position will immediately be involved in the recruitment of staff and working with the parent company Senior Leadership team to directs and manages all business activities and works to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs for the company that align with parent company practices. In partnership with the parent company leadership, the GM will oversee the allocating of budget resources, management of operational costs, handle and manage company insurance coverage with a third-party broker and the parent company VP, identify business opportunities, and monitor financial activities. The GM should account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, drive sales and improve revenue, maintain relationships with clients, enhance the organizations image, and meet overall growth objectives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, organize, direct and control activities to ensure the company’s goals and objectives are reached and consistent with established policies and proceduresBudgeting and allocation of finances amongst different departments.Work with the onsite Accounting and parent company Accounting teams to create suggested budget plans.Review monthly finances, suggest departmental budget changes if required and communicate financial information to corporate leadership to assist in proactive and timely decision making.Oversee key hiring and talent development programs with the assistance of the onsite HR and corporate HR teamEvaluate and propose to corporate leadership key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talentCommunicate strategy and results to the employeesReport key results to corporate officersEngage with corporate officers in broader organizational strategic planningProvide direct management of key managers and their respective departmentsResponsible for maintaining budgets and optimizing expensesProvides thoughtful solutions to potential business challenges (i.e. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business, etc.)Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished in a timely mannerPrepare reports to appraise corporate leadership about the functioning of the company.Other Duties as assigned.Education, Skill & Work Experience Requirements· Degree in Business Management or Masters in Business Administration, preferred· Proven experience in Event Management· Deep knowledge of tourism and/or amusement park operation· Strong decision-making capabilities· Above-average communication, collaboration, and delegation skills· Proven ability to develop and maintain financial plans· Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountableWork Environment: · Majority of time spent in an office setting in Tucson, AZ· Frequent travel to Southwest Colorado (Parent Company Headquarters)Job Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 – $105,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceAbility to commute/relocate:Tucson, AZ 85735: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location
