A Place to Be ProudResponsibilitiesManages the credentialing process for staff and contractor certifications and licensure, criminal background checks, motor vehicle and insurance.Manages HR department record retention. Monitoring policy and record destruction as needed.Manages HIPAA and other Privacy concerns related to confidential employee data.Participates with other HR leaders in TJC, CMS, CARF and other regulatory surveys.Creates and implements tools, systems, resources, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to facilitate team workflows.Implements processes and solutions to issues related to compliance and presents to leadership.Facilitates compliance issues and consults with staff at all levels of the organization when in violation of standards. Leads and collaborates in work groups to build regulations into operations.Oversees training for employees and managers related to HR compliance, policies, or procedures.Analyzes compliance and integrity concerns, questions or complaints received from internal customers.Oversees communication of changes to pertinent regulations, policies, and guidelines to affected staff.Leads audits and projects simultaneously and manages customer and team expectations. Ensures scope, timelines, deliverables, and quality meet and/or exceed expectations.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Compliance, or Risk Management, Master’s degree preferred.Skills: Strong project management skills and ability to create and work against a timeline. Ability to manage competing demands and multiple tasks. Outstanding customer service, organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to think globally. Strong influencing, negotiation, and facilitation skills with the ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with business leaders and peers. Extensive knowledge of Joint Commission standards related to Human Resources and licensure and certification standard requirements for clinical and non-clinical positions.Experience: 5 to 10 years’ experience in healthcare compliance, or risk management. Three to five years management experience. Demonstrated experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
