Job Description : Our Client’s Large Power Systems Division is seeking a Human Resources Manager for their Griffin, GA facility.
As a Human Resources (HR) Manager , you will have the opportunity to set and deliver the HR agenda based on business priorities and will partner with the Griffin Facility Manager and leadership team to deliver business outcomes for the facility.
With approximately 800 employees, Griffin Engine Center manufactures a range of diesel and gas engines for use in electric power, oil & gas, and marine applications as well as machines around the world. Griffin is home to other functions including engineering, supply chain, marketing, and product support services for these products. You will lead a team of 2 HR professionals to execute strategic people initiatives across the areas of: organization design, succession planning, talent acquisition and retention, learning and development, and performance management. In addition, you will coach and advise leaders on key talent management, compensation, diversity & inclusion, and employee engagement activities.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Understand the needs and priorities of the business to provide strategic direction and guidance to the Facility Manager and the leadership team.
Apply strategic workforce planning, organization design, succession planning, talent acquisition and retention, learning and development, and performance management, to drive talent outcomes leveraging data and financial information.
Consult and coach business leaders on ways to improve business effectiveness, engagement, inclusion, and operational improvements in alignment with the business model and leadership attributes.
Interpret and provide guidance to Griffin leadership on HR policies and procedures, governmental regulations, employee relations, grievance procedures and internal reviews to maintain and improve work environment.
Develop and manage organizational effectiveness and change management to meet business objectives including fostering a culture of safe work environment.
Formulate and/or implement policies, practices and procedures related to employment practices, appropriate training, benefits, and safety.
Work with facility leaders and employees on all payrolls and shifts and partner with peer HR managers and HR leadership to execute talent initiatives.
Actively engage functional expertise of COE’s for strategy development and program deployment.
Understand both internal and industry talent market and trends, use internal talent insights and build talent pipeline and organization capability.
Partner with stakeholders to design and facilitate talent programs and processes to drive succession and skill/capabilities.
Support talent acquisition, both internally and externally, that aligns to strategic workforce planning and future talent needs.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 5 years practical human resources assignments
A proven track record of creating vison/strategy and translating into operational execution in Human Resource/Talent roles that supports business outcomes and results.
Demonstrated skills and proficiency in the following areas: enterprise point of view, collaboration across matrix organization, ability to influence effectively at multiple levels of an organization, strong teamwork and proven skills communicating effectively.
Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.
