Job Description : The Human Resources Manager is a direct-hire position working for a specialty chemical client in the Phoenix, AZ area.

The Human Resources Manager will partner with the leadership team in translating business strategy into Human Resources action that drives business results. Will apply knowledge of Human Resources and hands-on expertise with demonstrated results in developing and implementing tactics to execute Human Resources strategies that achieve the overall business strategy, employee relations, strategic staffing, recruitment, talent management, performance management and compensation; training and organizational development, effective strategic communications; oversee benefits administration and compliance issues such as EEO, FLSA, and FMLA.

Human Resources Manager Responsibilities / Duties
Develops Human Resource (HR) strategy and initiatives to support the business unit(s)Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goalsHR Manager directs the implementation of Human Resources (HR) practices, systems, programs, and policies for the companyMaintains compliance with state and federal employment laws as well as company policies and procedures.Provides direction to ensure fair and equitable administration of wage and benefit programs.Responsible for overall management of company benefits administration and self-funded health plan, coordination of annual open enrollmentMaintains positive employee relations and company cultureInvestigates employee relations issues and partners with managers for resolution.Analyzes turnover to identify trends and develop retention strategies.Tracks and reports on HR metrics.HR Manager ensures the availability of an adequate, well-trained workforce to support the operational goals of the facility by partnering with operations to recruit and retain a diverse workforce that will provide the skills needed to make the organization successful: sources candidates, screens resumes, arranges interview team schedules, ensures compliance to all company policy and procedure related to hiring.Responsible for administering company Performance Management program, providing counsel and coaching to managersOversight of company safety program and personnel. Supports facility safety initiatives, assists in accident investigation and OSHA compliance.Manages worker’s compensation claims.Performs other job duties as assigned.
Human Resources Manager Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or a related field10 years of direct HR management experience in a specialty chemical, manufacturing or production environment.5 years of experience leading an HR teamPHR or SPHR certification preferred.Able to provide insight and leadership on recruitment, retention, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, engagement and training, policy development, compliance and benefits administration.Strong critical thinking skills, able to develop strategies to support the businessAbility to interact with key partners and/or vendors in: benefits, 401(k), employment law, recruitment, coaching, compensation, training, technology, and employment lawSolid financial/business acumen, establish and manage the department budgetProficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Human Resources Manager candidates should be located within daily commuting distance of Phoenix, AZ.
