Job Description : IP Specialist / IP Paralegal Maier & Maier, PLLC in Alexandria, VA seeks a full time Patent or IP Specialist.Previous experience working on IP matters or at an IP boutique are preferred as candidates should have experience using EFS-Web and Private PAIR. The firm’s client base includes both domestic and international clients, with a focus on patent prosecution and litigation.Specifically, experience in the preparation and e-filing of new patent applications (as new utility filings, new provisional filings, Paris Convention filings, and 371 filings) is highly desired. Further experience related to the preparation and e-filing of office action responses, IDSs, petitions, issue fees, and other patent prosecution documents, preparing and sending client correspondence, and working with attorneys and staff members to review work and ensure docketing deadlines are desirable.As noted above, this position requires experience working with USPTO EFS and preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience in electronically filing patent applications and/or other patent prosecution matters at the USPTO via EFS.
