We are currently looking to hire an Investigative Intelligence Analyst to join our team (embedded with our client in Arlington, VA)! This position allows for a hybrid working arrangement in the Arlington, VA area.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position provides rapid assessments of open-source information to identify potential threats; imminent local, domestic and international security situations; sensitive developments; and complex geopolitical issues. The successful candidate will demonstrate curiosity about global security events; an ability to work independently, maintain intellectual curiosity, think critically; and have experience conducting open-source research to inform investigative findings and broader analytic assessments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor for new trends and changes to security environments and alert appropriate stakeholders
Assist with investigations and social media monitoring
Evaluate escalating situations, apply critical thinking, and coordinate effectively with other security personnel
Complete projects as assigned including drafting, editing, and revising location assessments
Research and draft investigative reports, broader white papers, and other strategic analytic projects
Provide 24/7 support if needed
Travel to support global events
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (business, international relations, or security-related)
Experience with open-source research, investigation techniques, analysis, and report writing
Experience in analytical, investigative, incident management, or related disciplines
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to succinctly synthesize and assess information
Experience working with highly confidential information
Experience completing multiple tasks simultaneously and functioning with minimal supervision
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years experience working in an analytical field; experience with geopolitics, criminal justice, security, or, international business preferred
Proficient in multiple languages
