Position : IT Security Operations Analyst I – Harbor Foods Remote
Job Description : General Summary: The IT Security Operations Analyst I position focuses on implementing security policies, identifying security improvements for Harbor, daily monitoring of security alerts, and managing support tickets related to security tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist in identification and implementation of necessary information security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines, in conjunction with IT leadership
Work with team members to provide security expertise to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through county workstations, servers, and cloud systems
Ensure compliance with relevant industry security standards and protocols
Manage IDS/IPS Security appliances and manage alerts protecting both corporate and BYOD environments
Manage enterprise firewall policies, IPS, AV, and other NGFW features
Evaluate new systems and ensure that all current systems are configured in compliance with applicable security standards
Implement cybersecurity and compliance monitoring technologies, processes, practices, policies, contracts, and 3rd party services to protect business assets from service interruptions, damage, attack, and unauthorized access
Maintain records of monitoring data, and documents actions taken
Perform risk assessments; Execute response plans and mitigation plans in the event of a security breach
Provide security review and subject matter expertise to ensure information security architecture and design considerations in major IT projects and programs
Document and report on security incidents and responses to management
Conduct Disaster Recovery testing
Proactively engages with IT leadership to recommend enhancements and mitigate risks within the environment
Provide security configuration and support for various technologies that Harbor utilizes
Any other responsibilities identified by management
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Cyber security policies
Strong understanding of networking, server operation systems, and storage environments
Disaster preparedness planning, disaster scenario testing, and remediations
Regular expressions and database queries for searching security logs
Ability to serve as an Incident responder in the event of a security breach
Work closely as a team member and independently as needed
Strong communication skills, writing reports and documentation
High level technical end user support and training
Desired Knowledge and Skills
Agile Development experience is a plus
Education and Experience:
Associate degree in Cyber Security, or related field or relevant work experience
Security+ Required
Network+ Recommended
Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals is a plus
