This is the opportunity you have been looking for.Job OverviewResponsible for supporting senior-level chemist and laboratory professionals in research, testing and laboratory maintenance. Their duties include recording data, preparing solutions, and ordering and organizing supplies. Their role is to support other laboratory employees by maintaining a safe environment, organizing logbooks, labeling, and storing samples and maintaining inventory. They also perform quality-control tests and audit lab logbooks to ensure proper procedures. Junior chemist maintains an understanding of safety and disposal of hazardous waste.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instrumentsReceive or collect, as well as process, samplesCalculate test results, and log and report results using a computerPrepare stock solutions, and maintain inventoryPerform quality control and calibrate equipment if necessaryMaintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work areaPractice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulationsSkills and QualificationsMust having Bachelor’s degree with experience of inorganic and organic synthesisAttention to detail and good organizational skillsAbility to understand electronic and computerized equipment in laboratoriesAble to follow instructions and strictly follow proceduresExperience working in a lab preferredComputer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programsAnalytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement; ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $25.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:inorganic and organic synthesis: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
