Position : Mint Cannabis-Director of Security: AZ
Job Description : Ensure the overall safety of the team members, patients, customers and assets of Mint Cannabis.
Maintain, utilize, and review security alarm systems, access control systems, and video surveillance systems.
Create and maintain schedules for contracted Security company.
Ensure external security support are badged and compliant with state laws.
Maintain communication with external security company management.
Ensure Team Members have the appropriate access, codes are disseminated to newly hired Team Members and access codes are removed upon the separation from Mint Cannabis.
Help prevent theft, violence, or other major infractions.
Conduct continual training and education with Team Members.
Provides oversight of transportation of company assets.
Ensure video surveillance equipment is compliant and working to standard.
Ensure facility door locks and access card readers are functioning to full capacity.
Maintain inventory of facility keys and holders.
Conduct training with delivery drivers regarding state cannabis delivery regulations, theft diversion techniques, and contact with law enforcement agencies.
Conduct safety and security training to newly hired team members (de-escalation techniques, etc.).
Review and download video surveillance upon being notified of any incident, theft or request made by Management.
Additional duties as assigned by Management.
Prior experience within a security role or industry preferred.
Thorough knowledge of cannabis industry-related regulatory requirements.
Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people; must be capable of effectively interacting at all levels in the organization.
Detail oriented with an eye on process optimization.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it.
Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds if relevant to job duties listed above.
Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday.
General tool, hardware, ladder, and building skills.
Excellent communication skills and leadership capabilities.
At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
Flexible schedule, the ideal candidate will be available to respond to urgent requests seven days a week.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is highly desirable.
Ideal candidate will have prior technical, and security related training and certifications.
The Director of Security will support security services to locations across Arizona. They will provide security solutions to assigned geographic areas or as designated by managers. The Director of Security will ensure the protection of Team Members and Patients alike.
The Director of Security will manage, train, recommend, facilitate discussions, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the company regarding the safety and well-being of all. The Director of Security will assist with investigations regarding company assets, facility security, personal security, damage reports, external theft, internal shrinkage, and risk mitigation as needed. Primary focus will be dedicated to management and scheduling of security team throughout retail and cultivation locations.
