Position : Nature Preserve Supervisor I (Boyd Hill)
Job Description : This is responsible, supervisory, and participatory work related to assisting in the management of campground and preserve operations. Work includes supervising rentals, ensuring campground safety, assisting with land management, implementing, and conducting environmental education programs, communicating with the public, overseeing the work of assigned staff and volunteers; participation in the training, safety, appraisal, and discipline of assigned employees; and requires the exercise of some independent judgement in initiating and carrying out assignments. Work hours will vary, based on rentals and programs, to include nights and weekends.
Salary: $19.27 – $32.00 Hourly

To Qualify
Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:
Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.
Possess and maintain a valid Driver License.
Successfully meet the State of Florida Level II background screening standards (Florida State Statutes 435.01-435.06).
Have knowledge of ecological concepts and experience in park operations, facilitating programming, and direct public contact.
Have some basic supervisory experience.
Have comprehensive oral and written communication skills.
Be able to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants:
Have a valid Bachelor’s degree with major course work in Environmental Science, Environmental Education, natural resources, park administration or related field.
Possess two or more years of supervisory experience.
Have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Oracle, ActiveNet registration software, and Kronos timekeeper software.
Have grant writing experience.
Have strong leadership skills.
