We have delivered on that promise since 1981 by integrating smart, innovative designs with the most desirable of modern features.JOB SUMMARYThe New Home Sales Consultant is responsible for the conversion of leads/prospects to buyers, generating referrals, and building strategic customer and realtor relationships to maximize revenue for the company.ESSENTIAL TASKS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor and meet sales goals. Generate leads from customer referrals and core realtor groups.Meet with prospects for current/future home sales, make presentations to model visitors, and demonstrate the models, spec homes and the amenities of the community. Qualify prospective buyers.Explain principle and interest payments, taxes, insurance, and homeowner associations.Prepare required paperwork and contracts for each home sale and for prospective buyers. Monitor the contract and financing process.Keep buyer updated as to construction start and completion dates and remain actively involved in the sales process through closing.JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation & Experience: High school degree or GED; bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related discipline preferred.Two to three years of sales experience in new home sales, high-end retail, and/or with a high value product preferred.Stable work history showing a progression in responsibilities.Must possess a valid driver’s license.Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to achieve results.Knowledge of new home construction or real estate is a plus.Excellent inter-personal skills including active listening, approachability, and customer focus.Ability and willingness to learn and use our training and systems to close a sale.Ability and willingness to work evening hours and weekends.Excellent team, communication, and relationship-building skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook and able to learn new software and applications.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYMay supervise a Sales AssistantADA & OSHA REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift up to 10 lbs.Ability to walk, stand, sit for extended periods of time and climb stairs.Ability to move with agility around a community under construction with uneven surfaces.Ability to assimilate, analyze, synthesize, integrate concepts and problem solve to formulate and carry out solutions.Ability to manage multiple priorities that require sound judgement under pressure.Ability to track, retain, retrieve and apply information (knowledge, facts, decisions etc.) to manage and solve issues.Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide own transportation to and between communities.Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.ACKNOWLEDGEMENTThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this position.
