Job Description : Principal Responsibilities of the PositionThe Office Manager manages a variety of duties in matters relating to the priests, staff, parish council, facility, parish and other various organizations associated with the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine (the Shrine). The Office Manager also assists the priest in the day-to-day operations of the Church and Shrine. The position demands exceptional organizational, planning and communication skills.The Office Manager will:Execute day-to-day tasks, including but not limited to managing the Shrine’s office, screening the Shrine’s phone calls and emails, and responding to inquiries;Manage the Shrine’s calendar for key dates, including services, sacraments, programs, meetings and special events;Prepare agenda, background materials, reports and minutes for meetings;Process bills related to the operations of the Shrine and other administrative functions;Track donations, membership and other revenue sources and provide administrative support to the Parish Treasurer on financial matters;Serve as the liaison and point of contact for the property management and security firm responsible for scheduling and oversight of services provided;Together with the property management and security firm serve as the point of contact for the Port of Authority of NY/NJ;Coordinate volunteer services;Coordinate communications with the Parish Council, donors and other constituents;Responsible for human resource activities related to recruiting, onboarding, compliance and performance management;Perform other related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree;Demonstrated knowledge and minimum 7+ years of job-related experience as an Office Manager or equivalent;Extremely well organized with exceptional time-management skills;Ability to thrive in a fast paced, quickly changing environment for a major, start-up organization;Be able to maintain confidentiality;Self-starter with the proven ability to make thoughtful decisions;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Office 365, Word and Excel; databasesystems and financial software such as QuickBooks;Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to work well with Shrine staff, volunteers, parishioners and visitors;Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with successfully demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;Fluent in the English and Greek languages.Preferred Qualifications Experience and deep understanding of church and not-for–profit organizations;Knowledge of City and State government entities, especially the Port Authority of NY/NJ;Startup experience as an Office Manager.Greek speaking a plusBenefitsHealth and dental insurance; generous paid time off, National and religious holidays package; flexible hours in the startup phase; reimbursement for business travel.Work RemotelyNoJob Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Administrative experience: 7 years (Required)Microsoft Office: 5 years (Required)Work Location: One location
