Locally owned and operated, we have one of the largest inventories of event rentals in the State and our events need the support of reliable individuals. Join our team and be a part of an exciting and fast-growing company.Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations Manager oversees daily logistics of event venues and in-warehouse for the Oahu division of Accel Events & Tents. This individual supports the success of all division performance metrics including customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial profitability through labor and operational cost management.He/she is responsible for monitoring the delivery of seamless event operations, along with sound warehouse, fleet and inventory management strategies. Communicates with clients on behalf of the company, delivering client satisfaction. Recruits, coaches and motivates the warehouse/field teams, ensuring crews are highly trained, engaged, communicating effectively, and proactively managing issues impacting the customer experience.What’s in it for you: Management and leadership development from our company executivesPerformance pay increases after exceeding work expectationsMedical, dental and vision benefitsGenerous paid time off packageEssential Functions:Lead teams by example in accordance with Accel’s Core Values as described below.Event site management – oversee event supervisory team to ensure event sets and strikes are fulfilled with dedication to quality and consistency, along with a pride of execution which meets or exceeds client expectations.Warehouse management – lead the warehouse team to support standards of excellence in warehouse organization, including processing, storage, preventative maintenance, and cleanliness, with full adherence to health and safety workplace protocols.Fleet management – daily oversight of the company fleet of vehicles, including tracking regular maintenance, registration, and insurance schedules, to ensure all vehicles are clean, compliant and road-ready.Dispatch routing – assist with geographically routing jobs, with full consideration of any local traffic expectations, venue restraints or other limitations.Technology management – ensure jobs are being completed in compliance with Accel’s integrated systems, including the Accel App, Current RMS and Kenect.Human resources – recruiting, training, ongoing coaching and motivation of Accel’s employee team in pursuit of a highly engaged, responsible workforce.Sales support – provide prompt information to assist sales with the quoting process, including inventory knowledge, approximated set times and labor estimates.Resource management – participates in responsible practices to align operational and labor costs with budget by assisting internal efficiencies and effective planning.Maintain consistent and proactive communication (including weekly meetings) with other Accel leaders across islands. Communicate potential issues and risks proactively to develop proactive mitigation plans.Equipment OperatedAccel Mobile application via handheld deviceTrucks, forklift, small tools, other event equipmentExperience Required:Minimum 5 years’ work experience in event operations, a warehouse or other production environment, managing the execution of large-scale operations.Demonstrated strength in proactive time management, planning and leading teams to proactively execute multiple events under tight deadlines.Demonstrated experience maintaining goods, inventory, warehouse equipment and fleet management.Able to demonstrate clear written and verbal communication, multi-tasking and execution and delivery of complex instructions under pressure.Able to demonstrate diligence and proactive results driven work ethic.Physical Requirements: For onsite purposes, must be able to lift/carry at least 50 lbs. Education: High school degree required, post-secondary preferredLicense: Valid Driver’s License requiredCertification’s requirements: NoneCommunication and Other Skills RequiredProven project management, time management and multi-tasking skillsExcellent follow-through, problem solving and people skillsExcellent written/verbal communication skillsMust have a smart phone with the ability to download and use applicationsAbility to use Accel company mobile application.Work EnvironmentThis is a full time, salaried position. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend duties. This position primarily operates in a warehouse and outdoor environment.This position routinely operates vehicles and warehouse equipment.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
