Position : Operations Manager
Job Description : POSITION PURPOSEThe Operations Manager – should be a capable leader, with the ability to organize, train, and supervise personnel. They must be capable to manage the entire production & sale operation including assignments, personnel, standards of performance, and work output to satisfy the client & company needs. They must be able to build a team that is cohesive, dynamic, and motivated.The Operations Manager must ensure the team executes all their assigned duties every day through recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.Operation Managers must also immediately remedy any shortfall or breakdown in Operations. They must make sure operations are recognized, encouraged and acknowledged.ESSENTIAL DUTIESEnsure that schedules are met, products are produced on time, and are of good qualityEnsure current department procedures are documented in StandardOperating Procedures.Endorse and enforce the use of Standard Operating Procedures.Implement improvements to production processes by empowering staff.Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising documented schedules; resolving problems.Establish manufacturing priorities and allocate the required resources.Assign and monitor work hours including overtime and resource sharing with other departments to ensure schedules are met.Ensure personnel have access to the proper tools and required documentation to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.Working with other departments as resources keep floor stock items current and complete as required for efficient operation.Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership.Conduct formal performance appraisal for reports on an annual basis.Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, motivating and ifrequired disciplining employees.Supervise and control work load of production staff, providing recommendation with documentation to management if a change in staffing levels is indicated.Resolve personnel problems by listening to production personnel, analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions and implementing solutions within the company polices. As appropriate brings problems to HumanResources Manager and/or upper management with recommended action for possible solution.Ensure that health & safety procedures and environment policies are followed and company guidelines are implementedMaintain safe and clean work environmentProvide production information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.Provide documented feedback of product issues to Management,Sales, Marketing, and Production.Provide documented feedback of product manufacturability issues toManagement, Sales, Marketing, and Production.Provide feedback of departmental issues to Management.Initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.Some travel may be required including trips to clients and events.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Type: Full-timePay: $36,895.00 – $120,793.00 per yearBenefits:401(k) matchingEmployee assistance programEmployee discountSchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftMonday to FridayOn callSupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location
