As a part-time Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing direct administrative support to the Chief Information Officer’s office, the senior leadership team, and the department, as needed. To be successful in this position, you must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
Other essential duties include:
Providing administrative support and maintaining deputy director, department, and employee schedules
Preparing, analyzing, and interpreting various executive level reports
Reviewing, revising, and creating documentation of processes
Performing basic office duties
Scheduling and maintaining training and conference room activities
Organizing and maintaining uniform inventory
Coordinating meetings and agendas, attending meetings, and taking/disseminating minutes
Researching information, generating totals from calculations, and providing related support
Reviewing, researching, and entering information to department reporting systems
Maintaining, updating, and ensuring the accuracy of standard documents, records, and accounts
This is a part-time position with an average maximum of 29 hours per week. This position is not eligible for paid holidays or leave benefits
The Grade for this position is 97. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED,
Four years of administrative support or related office experience, and
One year of specialized or technical training in administrative support
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite or 365 skills
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of office principles and practices, customer service principles, and basic accounting principles
Ability to coordinate and handle projects with minimal supervision
Experience using virtual meeting tools such as Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom
Experience handling sensitive and confidential issues
Experience conducting research and gathering information
Experience preparing, analyzing, and interpreting various executive level reports
Part-time positions are only offered medical benefits if they work over an average of 29 hours a week for at least a year.
