Position : Production Supervisor
Job Description : Must be flexible on shift timesPOSITION SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor position is responsible for directing and overseeing roasting and packaging in the Renton, WA manufacturing facility. Key elements of this position include ensuring predetermined quality and safety standards are met, maintaining cost efficiencies within the department, continual improvement of workflow processes and effective communication.KEY DUTIES: Work with Production Manager and staff to implement/maintain SOPs for all identified activities.Understand and participate in scheduling of products runs. Identify areas for improvement to overall efficiency in the roasting and packaging process.Reporting on key metrics for roasting and packaging lines.Perform new hire trainings (GMP/Safety trainings)Verification of employee training status.Create and foster a positive, cooperative work environment.Support safety by leading kick-off meetings, attending safety meetings and being a safety advocate. Identify and report any safety issues immediately.Participate in recruiting, training, and retaining of high performing team members in the department.Provide coaching and mentoring to enhance individual and team performance.Ensure all sanitation standards are being satisfied, and paperwork is up to date.Escalate machine operation issues as needed to Maintenance and/or Production Manager.Communicate and work with Production Manager and HR on personnel issues to include reviews and employee counseling.Communicate and work with HR on daily time punches and resolve discrepancies.Perform audits and/or verification activities as requested by managers.Participation in Daily Coffee Tasting & Production Meeting.POSITION SKILL/COMPETENCY: Personal and professional integrityAttention to detail and communication skillsAbility to work quickly and safelyThe ability to meet deadlinesAble to improve work processes/procedures with suggestions and new ideasLift a minimum of 25 lbs. on a regular basisOperate equipment in a safe mannerWork in an environment where temperatures may varyREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS in industrial, mechanical, engineering or business administration, or a 4-year technical degree in related discipline; or equivalent education/experience in the manufacturing field.Food/beverage experience requiredPrevious experience working with manufacturing based technology, processes and principles preferred.REPORTING TO THIS POSITION ARE: Packers and Pack Machine OperatorsJob Type: Full-timePay: $24.00 – $29.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:supervisory: 1 year (Preferred)manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
