The Project Coordinator – Community Engagement will coordinate activations with community partners in key markets of commercial focus. In addition, the Project Coordinator will collaborate with cross divisional colleagues on special projects as they arise.
Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to build the Delta brand in the communities we serve through brand placement and activations with employee engagement. Responsibilities of this position include coordinating the activations with the partner portfolio leaders, collaborating with the nonprofits, and ensuring a great employee volunteer experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate activations for employee involvement in markets of focus with key strategic community partners
Work with other members of the CE team to ensure consistency among partners in key markets
Collaborate with commercial team, operational teams and matrix teams to fully leverage brand placement, associated employee engagement and hospitality opportunities
Build the Delta brand through activations with the nonprofit partners in the communities where we live, work and serve
Provide support for local leaders in the select communities
Strategize with CE leadership on promoting the work we are doing and getting credit for it
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Prospective candidates should have a thorough understanding of developing and managing safe, productive, and enjoyable community engagement projects in partnership with select non-profit organizations. Candidates should also have clear understanding of leveraging these events to benefit Delta Air Lines from a marketing perspective. Strong organizational, analytical, quantitative, leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization Brand alignment and commitment to strategic market focused initiatives Proficient in social media (Sky Hub, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Word) Must be a self-starter but also able to bring team member ideas and suggestions together for best practices Must be detail oriented and have excellent follow through Ability to anticipate roadblocks and plan appropriately to mitigate risks Must be performing satisfactorily in current position Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Marketing, Community Engagement, event management planning and activations experience a plus
Familiar with the necessary processes and procedures for the use of internal communications through DeltaNet and the Volunteer Portal is a plus
