Job Description : .Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field and three years’ experience.
Knowledge of the health, human services and education systems, particularly as related to young children and families and ability to coordinate different stakeholders working with the same population. Knowledge of data systems to collect and calculate measurable outcomes.

Experience in coordinating and evaluating statewide initiatives on behalf of children and families.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Budget, procurement, and contract management experience.

Duties Description

Lead the coordination of project activities, including bi-weekly core team check-ins with contractors, planning and leading quarterly ECCS State Advisory Team meetings, Help Me Grow New York meetings and regularly communicating with key stakeholders.
Provide support to the ECCS State Advisory Team and coordinating with other CCF projects, including the Preschool Development Birth to Five initiative and the Governor’s Early Childhood Advisory Council, including statewide program or policy changes to build and strengthen the state’s integrated maternal and early childhood system of care and advance equitable and improved access to services for underserved prenatal-to-3 populations.
Coordinate the ECCS P-3 Project with related state agency initiatives, aligning and coordinating existing maternal and early childhood health and related support systems and resources to ensure cross-sector integration of services to best meet project outcomes to build a comprehensive and inclusive system of care.

Document successes and challenges experienced and evaluating the collaboration process in a manner that can be shared with state and community partners to further ECCS P-3 objectives.

Manage data to support continuous quality improvement (e.g., facilitating coordination of existing data sources like the

Ages & Stages Questionnaire Hub, informing related projects such as early intervention, home visiting, childcare and parenting education), designing data measures, collection tools and progress reports and reviewing and interpreting data reports and communicating results and adjustments to improve practices (following a Plan, Do, Study, Act approach).

Facilitate coordination with the federal ECCS P-3 Project Officer(s), participating on federal grant calls and learning sessions (virtual and onsite) and engaging participation by other local and state policy leaders and stakeholders, as appropriate.

Create and submit annual and biannual federal grant reports.

With the State Advisory Team, develope relevant materials needed for grant reporting, internal project timelines and work plans to ensure all grant deliverables are completed in a timely manner.

Develope and documenting the goals of the project and other communication toolkits, with direction from subject matter leads and relevant partner organizations.

Represent the NYS ECCS P-3 Project at federal meetings, conferences and other events.

Participate and encouraging participation by other state and local policymakers and leaders in peer-to-peer mentoring and other related grant learning opportunities, as appropriate.
Manage an annual budget, reviewing and submitting contract invoices, and purchasing to meet grant deliverables based on New York State procurement guidelines.
Manage multiple workplans.
Plan and facilitate annual training and convening for key ECCS P – 3 stakeholders.
Create and send bimonthly ECCS P – 3 Newsletter for subscribers
Additional Comments

Background Investigation Requirements:

3) For Division of Juvenile Justice and Opportunities for Youth (DJJOY) prospective appointees will be checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment and may have their names removed from the eligible list(s) for the title(s) if applicable.
