Associate Test & Evaluation Service Technician is needed to support the Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) Little Mountain Test Facility (LMTF) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Program (ICBM), out of Ogden, UT. This position will directly support the Shock & Vibration (S&V) Lab for testing, operating, and maintaining multiple test stands and support equipment, test hardware, software, and systems to achieve test requirements. Position will provide technical support for maintenance, repair, preventative measures that ensures continued safe and economic operations for testing and upgrades of a verity of test stands and methods. Applies technical knowledge to research, develop, test and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs and technical data.
Investigates simple technical, maintenance, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer. Assists in troubleshooting to understand root cause. Receives customer reports and correlates to established criteria for reportable events. Provides reports and assistance in researching event to determine safety implications. Develops routine in-service correspondence for continued safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment. Initiates routine quality investigations. Coordinates limited technical communications between customers, suppliers and Boeing resources to assure customer requirements are met.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists in developing and documenting standardized test methods and processes to ensure repeatability and productivity
Assists in development of test procedures
Assists in the improvement of test procedures
Operates, maintains and supports the integration of new data processing tools and algorithms
Assists in the development of new calibration procedures
Reduces, formats, analyzes with teammates, and delivers test data to customer
Assists in formulating expectations for test data based on historical data
Performs functions as required to ensure calibration system readiness and data validity
Assists to assure accuracy and completeness of test requirements.
Works with others in performing tests in accordance with approved test plan/procedure and applicable policies.
Assists in troubleshooting anomalies
Supports the development of Statements of Works (SOW)s and technical requirements documents for new equipment
Supports and implements change on lessons learned and performance metrics to improve future testing and makes recommendations to improve processes
Works under direction
Ability to occasionally travel
Ability to solder (e.g. build cables, etc.)
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
An Associate’s Degree in a technical field or at least 2 years’ work experience in a related field.
1 or more years’ experience in lab environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Highly preferred: Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Experience in the following: Working with transducers, Data Acquisition Systems and Shock and Vibration Testing, soldering, test lab, Operation of Measurement Equipment (Digital Multimeter, etc.)
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
