Job Description : Arbin Instruments is looking for a competent Shipping and Logistics Clerk to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.A great asset for a Shipping and Logistics Clerk is their communication and negotiation skills. They are also well-versed in supply management principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach.We are looking for a motivated candidate to join in our dynamic team, willing to train the right candidate and develop a long-term relationship.Major Areas of Responsibility· Domestic and International Shipping, Import, and Purchasing related work; handle Letter of Credit and BIS Screening· Review incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations· Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments· Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports· Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling· Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems· Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them· Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction· Other assigned dutiesRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities· Preferred previous experience as logistics clerk· Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes, report to management team· Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities· Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and team playerPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities· Forklift experience (Training is available)· Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements· Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics softwareEducation and Experience· Min Request of High School Diploma· Preferred BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain management, or with relevant field with 3 years of experiencePhysical Demands· Ability to perform light to medium lifting as necessary· Be able to or willing to be trained for packagingJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftSupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Logistics: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location:One locationWork Remotely:NoWork Location: One location
