Job Description : TLC Home Care is looking to hire an EXPERIENCED LIVE-IN caregiver for clients with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.The perfect candidate must have Dementia experience. We are looking for a compassionate, consistent, patient, kind, self-motivated and dedicated caregiver.Job duties vary from minimal assistance with personal care to light chores, meal prep, transportation (if needed), companionship.It takes a strong individual who can understand the frustrations a client may experience while losing their independence. This is where compassion and patience play a key role. A caregiver should be able to work out any frustrations, diffuse the situation and come to a resolution with the client.Understanding, communication and patience are key, especially in a live-in setting. This job can be very rewarding for the caregiver, just knowing that you made a daily impact on improving an individual’s quality of life.There is a performance evaluation done at the end of the first 90 days of employment. If by the end of that period work performance and work ethic are outstanding you will receive your first raise.
