Job Description : MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates reachable on the Civil Service Eligible list(s) will be canvassed. However, you may also apply if you are eligible for appointment by one of the following qualifications:
70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates with one year of permanent/contingent permanent or 55b/c service as an Associate Actuary Life, Grade 24 may qualify for transfer to Associate Statistian, Grade 23.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience using SQL and SASAbility to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.
Duties DescriptionSTANDARD DUTIES: The Associate Statistician will create demographic and labor force reports, respond to requests from Department of Labor staff, the public, educational institutions and other government agencies, and assist with the development of the State Data Center website. The incumbent will also develop computer programs using SAS & SQL, provide statistical assistance to units within the Department and for special projects that use US Census Bureau surveys, and provide supervision and training to subordinate staff.
