This position presents a unique opportunity to develop high-level strategies, which guide the successful operations of one of our fastest growing branch locations in the Mid Atlantic region.Your Role as a Branch ManagerBranch Managers work within our business model to plan, monitor, and improve on all aspects of our operations, from personnel to production. You will work closely with our various support departments, such as suppliers and product engineers, to build strategies for success. Overseeing the Division Field Operations Supervisors’ and Service Technicians’ daily responsibilities and coaching and mentoring team members within your branch will be essential to business success and to maintaining a team atmosphere.As a Branch Manager you will also be responsible to:Maintain a customer centric culture. Receive and resolve escalated customer issues – delegate responsibilities for quick resolution. Sell Hearth products, services, and accessories to retail walk-in customers.Perform quarterly inventory audits and resolve open customer A/R issues caused by incomplete or unsatisfactory quality issues for accountability of working capital [inventory, A/R]. Review the daily Gross Profit Dollar Report [GPD]. Achieve Branch financial and strategic goals by managing labor cost, capacity planning, and overall G&A expenses.Approve labor charges for accuracy on all documents.Manage the cash dispersal [CDJ] check book – issue checks, make bank deposits, reconcile account, and provide report to Regional controller.Review all new quotes from Builder Sales Representatives and work with them to make the appropriate changes.Review and coordinate installation and service schedules to optimize productivity and customer service levels.Drive daily paperwork flow to Regional Operations Office administration for processing, such as pick tickets and work orders.Review product ordering with Purchasing for all scheduled jobs and communicate extended lead times to stakeholders.Receive vendor deliveries into Commerce System, verify inventory delivered to packing slips, run inventory allocation, print backorder report, and adjust for any issues.Coordinate all inventory by installation for the next day’s work, including marble cutting and product staging.Skills and Abilities of the Best CandidatesBachelor’s Degree in business administration or an operations-related or construction-related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in the hearth or construction industry including managing others; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Service internal and external customers through effective interactions using relationship building talents, excellent verbal and written communication skills, superior problem-solving capabilities, and timeliness.Computer literacy with a functional knowledge of standard business and industry programs.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, whilst multi-tasking.Able to drive a forklift.Knowledge of hearth products including limitations, installation requirements, FHH policies, and local building codes.About Working for Fireside Hearth & HomeAt Fireside Hearth & Home (FHH), a division of Hearth & Home Technologies, you take ownership of your career with a job that ignites your passions and rewards your hard work.
