Overview:
USA TODAY NETWORK Ventures is seeking a Data Specialist for our Events Division. Our ideal candidate is experienced in the event or media industry with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills. The Data Specialist reports directly to the Communities Choice Event Director and works closely with Event Managers and other members of the Ventures Team. Job Details:
Create intake forms
Ballot moderation (moderate votes and monitor for fraudulent voters);
Work with all properties in leading training for the Second Street Platform;
Work with the promotions team to help promote and execute;
Work with properties on uploading their banner ads to the platform;
Lead the publishing of winners’ site;
Work with properties on their enhanced listings and uploading these into the platform;
Work with the promotion team on redirects to newspaper site;
Work with second street on new updates to platform;
Work with property on setting up contest rules;
Work with property on setting up the business listing tracker and filling these in.
Experience Requirements:
Knowledge of GHL events is a plus;
Some travel will be required;
High-level attention to detail;
Ideal candidate has excellent presentation and communication skills.
Must have Knowledge of Microsoft Office products as well as Google Drive experiences
Additional Details:
Lead and assist with weekly/monthly calls with properties;
Work with our Promotions team to collaborate fresh ideas for Best of Best events;
Offer assistance both over the phone/email to the properties working with;
Team environment – able to work well with diverse personalities and people;
Self-initiator – ability to manage your own time and schedule both at home and on the road;
Represent Ventures with professionalism both at the properties we work with and in front of clients across the country;
Set an example of the industry’s leader in events;
During event season ability to lead and assist event set up and execution in markets across the country.
