Job Description : Position Summary: Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc. seeks a highly curious, problem solver comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a highly effective communicator and extremely proactive with a meticulous attention to detail. A willingness and desire to learn development strategy and tactics is a plus.The position will be primarily responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the organization’s main cultivation and fundraising events including working with vendors and caterers and marketing/communications. Additionally, this position is responsible for recruiting, organizing, managing, and growing an effective volunteer program, identifying ways to nurture and expand volunteer relationships for deeper engagement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and connect with a variety of stakeholders and community partners. At a local level last year, Goodwill Industries of Dallas placed 1,592 individuals with disabilities and disadvantages into jobs, earning over $21 million in wages.Duties & Responsibilities: 1) Plan and execute special events and other fundraising campaigns including: THE LUNCH,Goodwill’s Advisory Council, the Round Up Program and Employee HolidayLuncheon.2) Collaborate with the Director of Development to develop sponsorship packages for Goodwill’s programs and events.3) Maintain accurate records and provide timely reporting.4) Coordinate volunteers, manage volunteer activities and oversee the volunteer experience, assist with/provide tours and speeches for individuals or groups as needed.5) Acknowledge volunteers for their time and service to increase retention and express appreciation.6) Manage relationships with outside vendors and negotiate contracts and deliverables.7) Survey staff regularly to assess volunteer needs throughout the organization and to review productivity of volunteers.8) Author written communications such as letters, volunteer newsletter, social media, etc.9) Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Director, Development.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies): · Undergraduate degree.· 1-3 years in corporate / social event planning or fundraising.· Excellent verbal/written communication skills.· Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, The Raiser Edge· Acute attention to detail with strong problem solving and analytical skills.· Must be innovative with a heightened sense of initiative.· Ability to prioritize tasks, balance multiple projects, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.Job Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Dallas, TX 75234: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Fundraising: 1 year (Preferred)Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
