The Boeing Company is currently seeking End User Support Specialists to join the Information Technology group located in Kihei, HI or Haleakala National Park, HI.
Position Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot moderately complex delivery systems or network issues and escalate as appropriate.
Assist with basic computing delivery systems configuration management.
Perform basic end-user training
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Kihei, HI or Haleakala National Park, HI.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to use technological tools (e.g., PC’s, web sites) and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data relevant to workloads, responsibilities, problem identifications, and resolutions
Ability to operate relevant personal computing hardware (e.g., personal computers, software, printers, storage media) and standard software (e.g., word processing, graphics packages, spreadsheets/databases)
Experience working with data and network security technologies
Ability to work above 10,000 feet ASL
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
Good knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
Experience with scripting and automation tools
A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
Interfaces with the appropriate government agencies, customers, suppliers, and company personnel in order to facilitate implementation of protective mechanisms and to ensure understanding of and compliance with computing security requirements
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years’ related work experience, 7 years’ related work experience, etc.).
