Benefits start day 1, there is no waiting period!DescriptionPerforms duties related to the expansion and safe production of an underground mining facility:Assists with and performs concrete applications, which may include pouring roadways and pumping forms andshotcreteAssists with and performs shotcrete application using underground concrete spraying equipmentAssists with and performs duties related to the concrete wash bayPerforms pre-shift/pre-operation inspections of equipmentAssists with and performs duties related to heading drillingAssists with and performs duties related to loading explosives for face round and raise blasting applications -Assists with the installation and maintenance of ventilation systemsMay operate mobile equipment such as: mine tractors, forklifts, maintenance carrier service trucks, front-endloaders, face drills, haul trucks, bolters, powderMay assist with and perform regular work area audits and note and report any issues and/or concernsFrequently communicates and interacts with various members of all mine departmentsMust be able to receive and maintain Explosive Possessor Certification through the BATF – Required to followthe safe and proper procedures of the Underground Personal Identification systemPerform other duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum QualificationsSix (6) months of experience with material handling equipmentPreferredHigh School diploma or GEDCriteria/ConditionsAbility to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and proceduresgiven in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safetystandardsMust be able to work in a potentially stressful environmentThis is a Safety sensitive roleWork is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes intemperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives,fumes or airborne particlesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity,climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platformsWilling and able to work in a physical environment, including lifting up to fifty (50) pounds safely throughoutthe work dayWilling and able to work rotating shifts that include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and both scheduledand unscheduled overtime in a 24/7/365 operationPersonal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plantenvironment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed,respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment asrequiredCompany promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory preemployment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State LawsJob Type: Full-timePay: $27.00 – $33.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceRelocation assistanceRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:12 hour shiftSupplemental Pay:Bonus payLicense/Certification:Driver’s License (Required)Work Location: One location
