Position : Festival and Event Manager

Job Description : The Event Manager is responsible for the overall development, management, production and success (KPI) of all BU sponsored festivals and On Premise (OnP) Events in their regions. This position will operate cross functionally with Culture Marketing, On-Premise, Brand, Consumer Collecting, Retail Marketing, Distribution and outside vendors to drive Red Bull’s presence within the festival and OnP event landscape. The Event Manager will ensure quality event execution as well as leading the negotiation and contract process for marketing and sales with event partners. Success will be measured through improving Red Bull’s brand image and increasing consumer pull at the top festivals and OnP events in the business unit and regions.

Planning & Production
Deliver on festival targets, goals, 360 plans, production guidelines and standard event procedures to ensure consistency across Red Bull supported festivals and OnP events
Lead development process of all festival and OnP event plans ensuring alignment with HQ On-Premise Marketing goals
Initiate and lead contract negotiations with festival promoters and follow through in a timely manner on contract execution including KPI’s from all business departments and internal budget negotiations within Red Bull WEBU and HQ teams
Engage sales and distribution teams to activate bull ring in accordance with festival usage campaign guidelines and execution standards
Drive the forecasting of event infrastructure (festival/OnP event tools) in each region
Ensure GM, RMM & BU Specialist alignment and inclusion in all elements of festivals and OnP events
Implement best practices to maximize brand presence and consumer pull in accordance with HQ festival/OnP event strategy
Coordinate on-site activations, distribution and visibility with event partners and concessions
Manage festival/OnP event recaps and reporting, coordinate kick off meetings, manage conference calls and lead 360 activation planning and alignment
On-Site & Off-Site Execution
Manage all on-site staff including roles/responsibilities, credentials, and executional performance related to festivals and OnP events
Coordinate delivery, set-up and strike schedules for all event infrastructure and activations
Work with festival & event production stakeholders to secure proper storage facilities for Red Bull infrastructure
Manage festival and OnP event concessionaires & production stakeholders to ensure perfect on-site execution
Manage external third party production companies to ensure Red Bull’s premium execution standards
Lead 360 activation planning and execution by partnering with internal department leads including Culture Marketing, On-Premise, Brand, Consumer Collecting, Retail Marketing and Distribution
Partner with HQ teams on new tool development, creation and implementation
Establish and strengthen new and current festival/vendor relationships ensuring that Red Bull is seen as an essential partner to festival and OnP event success
Budget & Legal
Lead all contract negotiations
Work closely with Red Bull legal team and event partners to execute contracts
Develop and manage festival and OnP event budgets
Optimize budget and legal structure where needed

EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
5+ year’s relevant experience in live event production and understanding of experiential marketing. Festival experience required.
Strong organizational skills
Thorough understanding of all facets of festival and event production, brand marketing strategy and the ability to find creative and unique solutions
Strong track record in delivery of large scale programs, campaigns or projects
Clear understanding and ability to navigate the modern festival and event landscape
Experience managing significant budgets
Confident coach/leader with ability to foster meaningful dialogue and gain buy-in
Exceptional communication skills, including presenting and training abilities
Capability to cultivate team environment
Strong negotiation and project management skills
Ability to gain buy-in from festival owners and vendors to ensure Red Bull is a must carry brand
Proven success in leading a multi-disciplinary team in collaborating to achieve established objectives
University – Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Fluent in English, additional languages an advantage
Travel 50%
