Our main advantage over competitors is our ability to offer direct import capabilities to key geographic regions we work in.Newpark Mats& Integrated Servicesprovides leading edge matting solutions and worksite construction services to diverse industry segments around the globe.WHAT WE VALUEWe maintain an unwavering commitment to act in accordance with our Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, and Accountability which ensure our customers receive the best products and services we can offer and that you experience a safe workplace where you can thrive:Safety – Protecting each other like family while sustaining the environment in which we work. .Integrity – Acting honestly, ethically, and responsibly in all aspects of our business.Respect – Dealing fairly and openly with employees, customers, suppliers and community.Excellence – Delivering value through performance, innovation and service quality.Accountability – Using good judgment and taking responsibility for our actions.Essential Functions Must adhere to all related OSHA, EPA, DEQ and DOT safety rules and regulations in concurrence with NMIS’ policies and procedures.Responsible for safety equipment on equipment being operated, aspects of the machine and its pre-shift requirement, fueling, greasing, shop work and general equipment maintenance.May be required to prepare location site using heavy equipment – level, clear trees.Accountable for quality control executionComplete all necessary safety documentation and record keeping and ensure adherence to JSA’s.Train new employees as they join the workforce as well as assist mechanic in major maintenance and repair of equipment; may be required to fill in for superintendent, capable of operating heavy machinery or have a CDL license – drive a heavy truck.In addition to working as a member of a crew, the Foreman is responsible for:Day-to-day direction and oversight of the other crew members.Accountable for all employee’s safety while on-site including adherence to safety procedures including wearing PPE, safe actions, etc.Inputting employee’s hours and materials used on site into Field Ticket system.Creating and submitting JSA’s.Ensuring quality work is performed at the site.Truck and equipment maintenance including pre-trip assessments, cleanliness before and after project, ensuring all tools and equipment required for the project is in the truck.Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or educational equivalent.4 years’ experience in warehouse/plant/operations environment.2 years supervisory/lead experience preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of company policies and procedures.Position Summary Guides and may indirectly supervise some employees in daily plant, site or workshop through daily operations. Accomplishes overall department goals and is proactive in process improvement. Evaluates and gives performance feedback to individuals. Facilitates conflict resolution. Enforces work rules.
