Job Description : Job Summary: The Harts Services General Manager is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and performance management of all field departments in a given location. This typically includes Install, Service, Sales, Apprentice and Warehouse departments as well as any other units assigned. They are also responsible for the facility itself.Job Parameters: This is a full time, exempt position, with heavy work demands occurring Monday through Friday. Weekend availability for issue escalation is expected.Duties/Responsibilities: Ensure all departments are meeting their KPI’s and contributing fully to company growth and revenue goals.Use analytics, business knowledge, industry best practices, and teammate insights to integrate strategies across departments that drive profitable results and 5-star customer service.Provide teams with strong leadership and clear direction. Motivate and inspire teammates to rally around company objectives and embrace the Harts identity.Ensure that teams are getting the training and support they need to provide quality plumbing and sewer work.Drive Apprentice Program to grow quality technicians that are signed off and licensed within set timelinesCollaborate with Leadership at other locations to meet company goals and promote a unified culture.Cultivate high employee engagement across all departments and promote a healthy work environment.Provide direct reports with coaching, development, and growth opportunities.Hold all teammates accountable for personal growth, proper licensing and training, reaching company goals and following the Harts process; including Nexstar and EOS best practices.Foster a Core Values focused environment through living by example, discussing Core Values in decision making, and holding teammates to high standards of desired behavior.Ensure customer complaints are being properly resolved by all teams; resulting in quick, favorable resolutions.Create annual budget – control expenses to meet or exceed the plan.Ensure sufficient staff levels to meet revenue goals, customer demand, and turnover continuity.Evaluates workloads and personnel schedules to maximize efficiency in achieving profit and customer satisfaction objectives.Make sure incentive programs are equitable, properly documented, and drive desired results.Facilitate operations and budget meetings with managers to increase productivity levels.Oversee facility management and ensure teams have the resources, supplies, and technology necessary.Oversee safety compliance to include employee training, safety tracking, employee compliance assessments, OSHA reporting, and incident investigations.Provide timely insights to the COO and Ownership.Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively – inspire and lead others to attain company goals.Proven track record of achieving operational excellence through strong people and performance management.Track record of managing complex work groups across shifts, geographies and experience levels; including workers in a Service Industry.Demonstrated ability to influence change and initiate actions that have strategic impact and drive a high-performance culture.Strong track record of effectively using analytics to guide optimal operations and quality outcomes.Highly organized with exceptional follow-through.Quick, sound decision-making abilities.Excels in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment with the ability to adapt quickly to change.Education and Experience: At least 5 years experience of operations management, Service Industry and/or plumbing preferred.At least 5 years experience leading teams and managing people.Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Responsibilities split between office and field environments.
