Job Description : Job Position Title: IT Help Desk Support, Level IDepartment: Information TechnologyFacility Location: Ocean, NJShift Type: Full-timeWork Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:15pmPosition Overview:The IT Help Desk Support provides basic support and troubleshooting, such as break/fix instructions, password resets, printer configurations, document extraction; importing or copying; ticket routing and escalation to outsourced managed IT company. Assist with installing, upgrading and troubleshooting hardware and software while utilizing remote troubleshooting techniques. Assist with large network projects as they arise.Main Essential Duties and Functions of Job Position (but not limited to):Handle IT issues and provide support solutionsDesktop hardware and peripherals support (i.e., computer, tablets, laptops etc.)Desktop application support and software installationWindows and MS Office SupportCommunicate critical information on emergencies to users and managementMain Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):Assist with on-boarding new usersPassword resetsPrinter configurations and break/fix instructionsDiagnose basic LAN issuesDocument new procedures or changes to systemsOccasional need for extended hours or weekend workOccasional travel to two office locationCompetenciesTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.Communications – Expresses ideas and thoughts verbally; expresses ideas and thoughts in written form; exhibits good listening and comprehension; keeps others adequately informed; selects and uses appropriate communication methods.Achievement Focus – Sets and achieves challenging goals; demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles; measures self against standard of excellence; recognizes and acts on opportunities; takes calculated risks to accomplish goals.Education and/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, computer science, IT or related field preferred.Two or more years of experience with Windows 8/10, Server 2012, MS Office, O365, and Exchange/Outlook preferredTwo or more years of experience with IT Ticket system and IT Management system preferredExperience with Kaseya is a plus.Experience with Mimecast is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills including the ability to address a wide range of audiences.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $50,000.00 per yearSchedule:Day shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Ocean, NJ 07712: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:Help desk: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
