Job Description : We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented, Medical Assistant for the Greater Philadelphia area.We are a fast growing Orthopedic Spine and General Orthopedic practice. We specialize in minimally invasive surgery for the spine and other surgical interventions for major joints. Most of the patients we see are personal injury, work comp and motor vehicle accidents but we do see private insurance as well.The Job is 9-5 Monday-Friday. The position requires travel to three different locations per week. All tolls and parking are reimbursed. We reimburse .50 cents/mile.On Monday, Wednesday and Friday you will be in our center city office in Philadelphia. This will serve as your home office location.On Tuesday and Thursday we rotate which offices we go to. The locations of the offices are as follows:Tioga street in Port Richman, PA (northeast Philadelphia)Germantown, PA (Northwest Philadelphia)Allentown, PABethlehem, PACherry Hill, NJWe are looking for Medical Assistants with a strong emphasis on patient care, attention to detail, confirming patient appointments, gathering necessary medical records/images and accurately inputting them into our system. We are looking for someone who is reliable and focused on implementing new ideas to continue to improve our practice for the best patient care experience.You will be required to greet patients, scan insurance cards, input demographic information, assist patients in filling out intake forms and obtain any records that are pertinent to the patients visit. You will check patients into exam rooms, take vital signs and record their chief compliant as well as details of their accident/injury.You will also be asked to draw up injections for in office injections given by the physician assistant or physician.You will work closely with the Physician Assistant and the Orthopedic Surgeon in providing the best experience for our patients.Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 – $24.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceMedical Specialty:SurgerySchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)Vital signs: 2 years (Preferred)Language:spanish (Preferred)License/Certification:Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)Willingness to travel:25% (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
