We understand that achieving potential requires us to understand and value the individual. .A career with 1000Bulbs.com brings the opportunity to be part of a team on which everyone matters.Together we can change your life.The Merchandise Planner role is defined as: product development and sourcing for our import business, building assortments for both import and domestic assortments, traditional merchandise planning roles.Key Responsibilities: Develop and recommend assortment plans for domestic vendorsBuild assortment plans based on history of like itemsManage item level product life cycle, including mark downs and profitable exit strategiesManage vendor relationshipsCommunicate professionally with internal teams and vendor communityDevelop pricing strategies that achieve company profit goalsManage inventory to maximize sales and profitConduct ad hoc analysis to drive or react to current and future businessPresent new products and ideas to senior leadership, including the CEO and CFODevelop plans for promotional items, including inventory levels and pricing. Collaborate with marketing and proof advertising.Maintain open communication and developing working relationships within the merchandise planning group. Build partnerships with marketing, sales, IT, and warehouse teams.Provide feedback and proofing for online merchandising teamContinuously evaluate market trends and new ways to grow the businessSkills and Experience: 3 years minimum corporate retail experience and bachelor’s degree in related fieldStrong analytical skills including comprehensive understanding of retail math concepts and formulation of business plansAssortment building, forecasting and optimizationStrong decision making ability and negotiation skillsProfessional communication – written and verbalPossess strong organization and time management skillsAble to work well under pressure, adapt to change, and prioritizeKeen attention to detail and accuracyProficient in Advanced level Microsoft Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulationCross Functional partnershipJob Type: Full-timePay: From $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Corporate Retail: 3 years (Preferred)Pricing: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location:One locationWork Remotely:Temporarily due to COVID-19Work Location: One location
