Job Summary
The Lab Helper will support multiple labs in the department of Cell Biology. This is a part-time position.
Job Duties
Cleans and sterilizes laboratory equipment such as slides, pipettes, culture dishes, test tubes and other similar items.
Prepares more routine chemical solutions such as formalin, saline, alcohol, etc.
Makes up specimen sets for a variety of laboratory procedures in accordance with specific and detailed instructions.
Maintains laboratory supplies in neat and orderly condition.
Cleans, dusts, and mops, laboratory counters, floors, sinks, and related work areas.
Operates sterilizers, autoclaves, and other simple laboratory equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
Completion of the 8th grade, no experience required.
