Job Description : WHAT WE SEEK
We are seeking a temporary People & Culture Coordinator. This position is considered full-time and the duration would be for 8-10 months. The People & Culture Coordinator will undertake a variety of People & Culture administrative duties, supporting employees in the US and Canada. This position joins a growing People & Culture team and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of functions, including recruitment, onboarding, talent management, and policy development.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on policies and procedures
Coordinate recruitment activities in Canada by working collaboratively with the Talent & People team; including creating and posting of job ads, conducting resume reviews, interview scheduling and execution, and selection
Develop open and collaborative relationships with all hiring managers to ensure that they are kept up to date on the status of each applicant and to ensure a smooth hiring process
Build strong, positive relationships with a talent pipeline of potential candidates; seek creative opportunities for advertising openings
Manage the Canadian work term student program including coordinating with schools to find students, applying for fund reimbursement, and submitting reports on a monthly/quarterly basis
Support the administration of producing and sending various letters and documents: employment agreements, compensation statements, employment confirmations, reporting or title change letters, etc.
Assist with onboarding program, including preparing new employee electronic files, setting up onboarding meetings, and processing required documents through payroll and insurance providers
Assist with bi-weekly/monthly Canadian benefit provider and payroll reporting and invoicing
Assist with the organization of various activities that enhance company culture such as training sessions, social activities, lunch and learns, etc.
Be ready to learn by participating in special projects and other duties as required
WHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BACKPACK
Associate degree in Business administration or related field and/or equivalent experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an administrative or HR assistant
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
Fantastic organizational and time management skills
Passionate and motivated by building relationships
