Job Description : ***PAYING TOP DOLLAR FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES******IMMEDIATE OPENING ******SIGN ON BONUS AND REFERRAL PROGRAM***JOB DESCRIPTION: Design Engineers are responsible for the design of new parts as well as making improvements to existing ones. They are responsible for drafting schematics and blueprints.Designs parts, components and assemblies to meet requirements of assigned projects. Creates CAD models, including part and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing, testing, assembly, and support components to assist with assembly.This individual would use various computer programs, design sketches, engineering data and intricate equations that take into account stress tolerances, temperature expansions and other potential situations.Participate in cross functional project teams designed to introduce new products, improve existing products, better our manufacturing process or, advance our competitive advantage in the marketplaceDetermine practical approach to determining tolerance as it relates to molding parts using different resins.Uses computerized design and computer aided engineering tools to perform job requirementsPrepare drawings using Solidworks. Must be familiar with design of components, layouts, drawings, sketches, schematics, etc.Prepare drawings per specifications given, job summary, and verbal instruction. Shows dimensions, connections and other information to demonstrate suitability of design.DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of process engineering plastics is a plus.Must be a self-starter with strong leadershipExcellent communication skills and demonstrated problem solving abilityExcellent interpersonal skills in relating to both internal and external customersProficient is MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)Knowledge of steel machining techniques, mold design, injection mold materialsMinimum 3 years designing using SolidWorksExperience in engineering design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)Technical Degree PreferredStrong attention to detailLocation is in a beautiful part of Texas, 1-1.5 hours from Houston, Austin and San Antonio.
