Position : Production Worker
Job Description : Vaagen Timbers, LLC is a state-of-the-art mass timber production plant seeking to fill various Machining, Quality Control, Production and Finishing Work positions on varying shifts. We are a positive, team-oriented culture, that believes in our Core Values, “Fairness, Integrity, and Transparency.” A culture where employees are not afraid to challenge us with new ideas and opportunities on a regular basis.Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Must be able to understand and follow instructions regarding the production lineBasic understanding of lumber grade and speciesMust be able to operate production equipment/machinesSafe operation of the entire lineUnderstand all Lock Out procedures and disconnect locationsAware of emergency stop proceduresMix glue and monitor glue spreadOperate handheld power tools (skill saw, hand strapper, sander, etc.)Drive forkliftUsing grinders to grind machine headsRequired to record data as necessary for Quality Control and productionWill be required to do any other duties as assignedPreferred experience:Forklift experienceVarious production equipment experience (Finger Joint, Moulder/Planer, Press, etc.)Production and/or manufacturing experienceQuality Control testing and processesAdditional training beyond high school (trades, professional, safety, on-the-job)Basic qualifications include:Steady work history in a production environmentMust be willing to work well in a team setting.Must be available for shift workMust be able to lift, squat, bend, twist, kneel, climb and reach above shouldersCould lift in excess of 50 lbs. repetitively in a normal workdayMust be able to pass criminal background check and drug testIf you are interested in working in a climate controlled environment and would like to be a part of an exciting opportunity in a new and growing industry with competitive wages, then we want to talk to you.Vaagen Timbers, LLC is an Equal Opportunity EmployerJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.50 – $20.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftWeekend availabilityEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Shift availability:Day Shift (Preferred)Night Shift (Preferred)Work Location: One location
