Position : Project Manager/Business Analyst
Job Description : Project Manager/Business Analyst PositionSUMMARY OF POSITION:The Project Manager/ Business Analyst is responsible for capturing business requirements, identifying and decomposing processes, and turning those into user stories with enough detail for developers and testers to execute. The Project Manager/ Business Analyst plays an important role in the translation of the strategic initiatives into discrete executable user stories, resulting in realized products.RESPONSIBILITIES: § To perform the proper mechanics of a professional proactive Project Manager/ Business Analyst in a way that contributes to the success of the assigned Design team, shares the knowhow with fellow PM/BAs and sets an example for other BAs to learn from and model their performance.This is a requirement of each Project Manager/ Business Analyst.§ To support (and improve when applicable) the QTS Business Application Development Process (BADP), create consistent Business Requirement Documents, contribute and maintain to a uniform and consistent data dictionary, and contribute cross-cutting concerns for use and re-use, wherever applicable, within the integrated technology suite of QTS.§ To coordinate and define project milestones as a part of the project requirements. Monitor and track project progress; resolving problems and making recommendations to the team.§ To work with developers to provide clarity around deliverables.§ To assist in the timely delivery of final products.§ To meet together with fellow PM/BAs once a week to share your individual PM/BA project team progress and timeline, help fellow BAs resolve impediments and issues when you can and help fellow PM/BAs facilitate the overall integrated technology suite.§ To maintain user confidence and protect information by keeping information confidential during project.§ To report resource needs and challenges of the Design team on an as-need-be basis.§ To be at work on time 8-5, Monday thru Friday, at 8235 Meadowbridge Rd, Mechanicsville, VA. (unless circumstances warrant Work-from-Home).§ To be a positive resource to everyone around you to the best of your ability; to be polite, professional and proactive in what you do and what you say.§ To do your best every day.PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Ideal candidate must be disciplined and demonstrate aptitude for learning new business processes. Candidate must be comfortable in a well-paced team environment. Candidate must be able to exercise critical thinking, communicate clearly in writing and in speech and possess positive personal relationship skills. Candidate should be familiar with Design methods, various forms of documentation (BRDs, Flow charts, User Stories, Test Plans, etc.) and have a working level of technical skill. Additional preferred qualifications are:§ B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience§ Experience with JIRA preferred§ Exposure to Agile Development process§ Experience in the Transportation space a plusQTS offers excellent benefits and a competitive salary.
