Job Description : About usBuilders Surplus is similar to Home Depot, in that we sell, doors, windows, cabinets and flooring. We have a smaller footprint and don’t carry everything they do, but what we choose to compete on, we dominate in. There are several ex-Depot and Lowes associates who work here and describe the culture as what Depot used to be back in the “good old days”, only everyone is out of the building by 6pm and we are closed on Sundays.Job descriptionProduction ManagerBuilders Surplus is looking for a Door Production Manager at our Atlanta, GA location. We are trying to grow the company and need “Go Getters” to do it. The Production Manager will report directly to the General Store Manager and will have some duties similar to that of a Home Depot Assistant Store Manager, however more focused on door production. This person needs to be computer literate, and a “Driver” of their team. The Production Manager will need to be mechanically inclined and have the skillset to overcome any problems or obstacles that arise from people or equipment. No actual retail or door experience is necessary, but the ability to trouble shoot and “Bush Fix” mechanical things in general is a must. ASMs also work with the Store Manager to develop strategies and objectives to drive sales and profitability. They provide leadership to all associates, so that these strategies and objectives are executed successfully. ASMs analyze trends, solve problems and develop themselves and their associates to maximize profits, and fill future positions of greater responsibility as the company continues to grow All company employees must already have, or be willing to get, both their COVID and Flu vaccines including boosters.
