You will be responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace and . This position also requires heavy dispatching and logistics background. Prior transportation experience is a must.You will be able to discover opportunities for improving conditions and execute various safety programs. The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential. The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelinesSupervise a large teamEvaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the lawConduct training and presentations for safety matters and accident preventionMonitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operationsInspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditionsHandle document and records of all maintenance issuesRecommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measuresReport on safety awareness, issues and statisticsSkillsProven experience as safety managerPrevious management experienceAbility in producing reports and developing relevant policiesGood knowledge of data analysis and risk assessmentExcellent organizational and motivational skillsOutstanding attention to detail and observation abilityLogistics/Transportation experienceJob Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 – $130,000.00 per yearBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Transportation: 5 years (Required)Work Location: One location
