Job Description : This is a full-time position that requires experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multi-line phones and to work in a team environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Greet patients and keep informed of appointment status.Establish and maintain demographics and insurance information using on- line system.Manual insurance verification’s on all patients.Ensure efficient telephone communication.Arranges appointments and enters referrals.Check patients in/outCollect co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and back balances for all services.Demonstrate courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their families.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Schedule mutually acceptable appointment times for patients and physicians using computerized scheduling system.Work as a team member within all other departments.Perform other duties as assigned.Print new patient paperwork and all forms needed for the officeKeep front area neat and tidy at all timeCopy medical information as requested following proper proceduresDistribute faxesQUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience Required Previous experience related healthcare preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.Basic typing and keyboarding skills.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Experience with customer service.Familiarity with computers and other office equipment.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationAbility to Multi-task efficiently and effectively.Ability to prioritizeMust be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.Ability to problem solveKnowledge of contracted insurance plans and procedures.Prior Epic experience is a plusPrior e-Clinical experience is a plusWork RemotelyNoJob Type: Full-timePay: $14.00 – $18.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Wearing masks, cleaning and sanitizing areas. etc.Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
