Position : Security Captain – Valdez Marine Terminal
Job Description : Denali Universal Services is looking for a Security Captain to oversee security, medical and fire operations at Valdez Marine Terminal (VMT) and SERVS. The Captain will provide leadership, guidance and overall supervision to the DUS workforce. This is not a rotational position.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalentFive (5) years of experience with a Municipal, State, or Federal Law enforcement agency, military police unit, corrections or private security companyThree (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacitySeven (7) years of experience with TAPS Security in the last ten (10) yearsCurrent State of Alaska Armed Security Officer LicenseState of Alaska Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) certificationValid Alaska Drivers’ LicenseMust possess or be able to obtain a TWIC cardESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSManage day-to-day operations of the DUS workforce from the Security and Fire units within the facility to include staffing, work schedules, corrective actions, employee recognition, uniform orders, equipment orders, personnel actions, and other tasks.Manage response to emergency and non-emergency situations occurring at the Valdez Marine Terminal.Ensure HSE compliance in accordance with TAPS contract.Responsible for the actions of the workforce even during off-duty hours.Plan and conduct training for the workforce in accordance with the requirement of 33 CFR, Facility Security Plan, DUS HSE, and other appropriate authorities.Interact with the client’s representatives and stakeholders who have a direct interest in the performance of the DUS workforce.Assist in reporting security threats/breaches to the facility stakeholders and appropriate authorities.Benefits are effective on the date of hire and include: medical/rx, dental, vision, life insurance/ad&d, 401(k) with a company match after one year!Denali Universal Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location
