Position : Social Media Specialist

Job Description : POSITION SUMMARYThe Social Media Specialist will report to the Communications Director and is responsible for leading planning, publishing, curating, and updating content and features on our social media platforms, and other web properties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSIn collaboration with the Communications Director, designs and implements fba’s digital engagement strategies.Post and write content to social media platforms that seeks ways to enhance audience experiences.Engage in fba approved conversation on social media platforms.Maintains familiarity with digital communications strategies and technologies, social media platforms and marketing, content management systems, WordPress, and similar systems.Collaborates with fba staff to establish best practices, and web tools for communicating with ministry specific audiences.Establishes rigid protocols for quality control through proofreading, editing, and sampling.Tracks and analyzes social media statistics for social media and earned media; compiles statistics and metrics for fba’s internal metrics.Using web audience and social media mapping and analysis tools, strategically develops and maintains links with target individuals and organizations.Compiles and sends fba email updates through MailChimp; analyzes fba’s contact lists to better understand target audiences.Monitor live chat audience during fba livestream services. Monitor all social media platforms, removing spam/negative comments as needed for livestream and throughout the week.Performs updates to the fba website when needed.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsCandidate must have a growing & mature, demonstrated personal relationship with Jesus Christ.Bachelor’s degree in digital communications, or related field.Minimum 5 years’ experience in web content management, social media management and/or related fields.Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Lightroom, and WordPress.Strong familiarity with web and social media platforms as well as social media analysis tools.High level of interpersonal and relationship skills essential when working with ministry departments and staff members.Ability to set schedules, meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and work as part of a team.
