Job Description : The Souvenir Division of Tongass Trading Company, the longest continually operating retail establishment in the state of Alaska is hiring for the 2022 summer season. The Tongass Trading Souvenir Division is comprised of four souvenir stores that serve over a million tourists that visit beautiful Ketchikan, Alaska each year.Our summer tourist season runs from May 1- September 30. We are looking for full and part-time seasonal employees to work in our stores as lead cashiers, warehouse stockers, cashiers and merchandise stockers.Responsibilities may include:Ringing up salesCustomer serviceStocking sales floor merchandiseSales floor recoveryProcessing merchandise in the warehousesOpening/closing cash registersAs lead cashier – staff supervisionSkills/AbilitiesCustomer service friendly personalityAbility to work hours and days as neededReliableEnergeticAbility to perform in fast-paced environmentsAbility to quickly switch back and forth between tasksJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $12.00 – $15.00 per hourWork Location: One location
