Description
Job Purpose:
Performs a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance on wastewater treatment plant and to ensure equipment is safe and operating properly. The position is located on the North Slope and requires a rotational work schedule. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Room and meals are provided while in Prudhoe Bay.
Essential Job Functions:
Operate Water (Reverse Osmosis) and waste-water treatment plant, including monitoring all plant operations (water and waste-water).
Ensure all reporting is done in a timely manner.
Maintain Water and waste-water treatment plant facility components, and associated equipment, including but not limited to hoses, valves, piping, and building maintenance.
Order and receive inventory, monitor inventory levels.
Control of all access to and activities in plant.
Demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system objectives.
Routinely perform safety and productivity observations including plant, field, and vehicle inspections.
Adhere to all North Slope and WORLEY health, safety and environment policies and procedures at all times.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Performs and assists in generating and completing preventative and corrective maintenance work orders.
Performs or assists in the replacement of bearings in motors, pumps, or other equipment.
Removes and installs new or existing equipment.
Operate plants in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
Provide preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and operating properly.
Performs plumbing and pipefitting tasks as required.
Assists in keeping maintenance records.
Maintains and operates computer maintenance management system as required.
Follows written and oral instructions.
Basic ability to operate a computer.
Performs other duties as required.

Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven, and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and high ranges, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
Lift 40 lbs. from floor to knuckles x 5 with a 12 second interval.
Lift 35 lbs. from floor to waist x 2 with a 12 second interval.
Lift 18 lbs. from floor to shoulder with a 12 second interval.
Carry Test: Carry 40 lbs. with two hands for 50 feet x 2; self-paced, but continuous; allow a 60 second rest break between carry tests, after 50 feet.
Stairs: Walk up and down 5 steps x 10 for a total of 50 steps, self-paced and continuous.
Slanted ladder: Climb up and down 5 rungs x 10 for a total of 50 rungs; self-paced allow a 60 second rest break after climbing up and down 30 rungs.
Repetitive Stoop Test: Perform from standing position, bend forward at waist as far as possible without bending the knees with hands reaching toward the floor x 10, self-paced but continuous.
Repetitive Kneel Test: Perform from standing, kneel on one knee, alternate from left to right knee x 5 each knee.
Repetitive Squat Test: Perform a functional squat and stand x 5.
Twist and Flex Test: Perform from standing alternate toe touches x 5 to each side to assess ability to twist and flex the trunk repetitively.

Qualifications
Alaska Level 2 water and level 2 waste-water certificates or higher.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Valid drivers’ license and the ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer.
North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
