Position : Wine Tasting Room Associate
Job Description : Airfield Estates Winery is seeking an outgoing, energetic, hard-working, team-oriented person with an appreciation for wine to serve as a Tasting Room Associate. This position is responsible for providing an exceptional, unique, memorable experience for our guests, building relations with guests and wine club members, and carrying out the daily operations of the tasting room.Daily operations of the tasting room include opening and closing procedures, serving wine, food prep, educating guests on our wines, vineyard, and history, sales, stocking, general housekeeping, signing up new wine club members, and assisting with additional tasks as assigned by management. This position includes performing physical labor on a regular basis (i.e. stocking a high volume of wine).The part-time position will involve weekend and public holiday work, as well as occasional evening or off-site events.Must be:- at least 21 years of age.- able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.- able to obtain a Class 12 MAST Permit and Washington State Food Worker Card.- able to stand and walk for long periods of time (8+ hours per day).- proficient in basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and point of sale operations.- able to manage basic cash register transactions, includes sales, opening/closing the till, and membership account maintenance.- able to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.- able to maintain a positive, professional attitude at all times.Compensation:$14.49/hr plus Tips (Average $10-$14/hr)Job Type: Part-timePay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:Employee discountPaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:TipsCOVID-19 considerations:For everyone’s health and safety, our staff is required to wear face coverings, and our guests are required to do the same, except when seated.
