South County Mental Health Center, Inc. is a private, non-profit Joint Commission Accredited Behavioral Healthcare provider located in Southeast Palm Beach County, Florida. Situated in the city of Delray Beach, the Center provides a broad spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care to clients and their families in surrounding communities.PURPOSE: To support members of the Navigate Program Team, and be responsible for organizing, coordinating, and monitoring non-clinical operations of the Navigate Program.RESPONSIBILITIES: ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATION/ OFFICE SOFTWARE PROGRAMSMake appointments for clients and coordinate with team member’s schedulesUpdate the Navigate physician logsManage the Navigate physician’s scheduleType memos, update client caseload lists, and send other inter-office communication using word processing programs.ADMINISTRATIVE / CLERICAL DUTIESGreet people coming into the Navigate program offices and assist them with checking in proceduresFile material in client chartsAnswer the telephone, fax documents, and other general office tasksContact clients with appointments reminders and check-insAssist with projects and chart reviewsAttend occasional team meetingsADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORTOrder and maintain supplies and equipmentCoordinate general office and program vehicle maintenanceOTHER MINOR OR ACCASIONAL TASKSPerforms other duties as assignedBUSINESS/SUPERVISORYExcellent organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to abide by confidentiality laws and the Code of EthicsMEDICAL/MENTAL HEALTH Must have people and problem solving skills to assist and support clients with severe and persistent mental illness and their families.WRITTEN & VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS Excellent grammar and spelling skillsGeneral ability to compose lettersGeneral ability to design formsMust have effective verbal communication and telephone skillsFUNCTIONAL, SPECIALIZED & TECHNICAL General knowledge of PC usage and word processing, data entry, and publishing softwareGeneral knowledge of a multi-function copier and fax machineMust type 50 wpmWORKING CONDITIONS OSHA ClassEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEMINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalentOne (1) year general office experience, with emphasis on confidentiality and customer servicePREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEOne (1) year Administrative Assistant experienceAS/AA degree in Secretarial Sciences and / or business disciplinesBilingualEqual Opportunity EmploymentSouth County Mental Health Center, Inc. does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, age, pregnancy, parenting status, veteran status or retirement status in its hiring process, activities and programs.American with Disabilities ActThe Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination in employment due to a disability.
