Position : Assistant Project Manager
Job Description : Position Summary: Strata Clean Energy, a leading solar developer and contractor is in search of a high motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM). The ideal candidate will harbor a passion for executing a quality project, and upholding the Strata motto “First Time Right”.The APM’s job is to work with a Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects from engineering conception through completion and closeout, interfacing with both subcontractors and the client.Position Responsibilities: Maintain and ensure customer satisfaction by delivering a quality project in compliance with all contractual requirements.Assisting Project Manager with Contract negotiations in regards to schedule, scope of work, and schedule of values.Analyze and monitor job costs and maintain accurate reports.Create and maintain project budget forecast and costs to ensure projected profit margins are met or exceeded and relay financial health to upper management.Work with Scheduling team to provide weekly report and updates to Clients.Provide administrative support for the Project Manager.Responsible for oversight and distribution of document management and administration.Tracking of deliverables from engineering, procurement, and project execution teams.Interfacing with local permitting office to determine permitting requirements and managing the submission and obtaining of permits through closeout.Work with the subcontracts team to develop and issue RFPs, define agreements. and schedule with awarded subcontractors.Track, review and process Change Proposal Requests & Change Orders.Hold weekly update calls with the subcontractors and customer to ensure project is on schedule and no issues at the site to relay to project management team.Interface with Project Construction Manager and Project Superintendent on a daily basis to assure schedule and budget are being maintained.Visit project sites as required, to meet with subcontractors, site execution team, utilities, and the customer.Assist the Project Manager with coordination of Utility closeout and inspection requirements through receipt of Final Completion.Manage the preparation and execution of the project closeout documentation.Assist the Project Manager with maintenance and submission of project weekly reports to upper management and project owner.Work with the Independent Engineer, if applicable, to address any concerns or punch-list items generated to achieve Final Completion by the project owner.Work with O&M to ensure they have accepted turnover from Construction.Supervisory Responsibilities: While the position does not have direct personnel supervisory requirements, integration with the larger team and enforcing accountabilities for the position and from those the position integrates with are essential.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 2 – 3 Years Construction Experience on relevant projects.Must be Geographically mobile and able to relocate within a region.Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment.Experience building relationships with Owners.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Must be willing to travel.Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment and in the field.Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds.Unrestricted Driver’s License.Work RemotelyNoJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftOvertimeWillingness to travel:25% (Preferred)Work Location: On the road
