The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Electrical Test & Evaluation Lab Technician to join our team in Seattle, WA . This technician will calibrate a wide range of electronic equipment in DC/LF/RF Lab. They will use calibration standards to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair electronic equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, and equipment drawings, document calibration in Metrology Information System.
Position Responsibilities:
Plan, check, set up, and operate, Electronic Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment for DC/LF/RF lab
Use calibration standards to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer’s performance specifications
Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results
Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems
Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork
Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes
Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by lead technician
Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear
Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes
Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes
Work with other employees engaged in the calibration and certification of M&TE
Assist in the development of new calibration processes and procedures
Perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results
Basic Electronic M&TE and process equipment examples are digital meters, probes, scopes, generators, analyzers, resistance, capacitance, power supplies, etc.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience with electrical systems
1+ years of experience with metrology and/or testing
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with formal electronic training
3+ years of experience with electrical systems
AA degree in Metrology, Electronics or formal Metrology training from US Military
3+ years of experience with metrology and/or testing
Certified Calibration Technician-American Society for Quality (ASQ)
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
